Some Lent Faves!

Yesterday marked the beginning of Holy Week, which for me, is a time of thorough reflection on the hallmark event in our Christian faith, Easter. Holy Week should ideally be deeply personal. We should each be filled with awe at the depth of God’s love and the sacrifice of our savior Jesus Christ. At the same time, we must each be filled with sorrow because so many people turn their backs on Jesus daily. In this spirit, I urge you to meditate and listen to the beautiful, peaceful lenten hymns I am sharing below. It really doesn't matter your denomination (or lack thereof). A hymn can only be as powerful as you let it. Listen to the words and let them sink into your heart. Remember that Jesus died so that we may have life, and have life in abundance. He has paid the ultimate price, so that we may enjoy our heavenly inheritance with the Father, for eternity.

Side note- I miss Loyola! For the past four years since I left Loyola, lent has never been the same. There was something about Stations of the Cross in Loyola that I haven't found anywhere else. May we always cherish the circumstances and people we find around us, at every given moment, for the good times too shall pass!

In no particular order, here are some Lenten favorites of mine:

1. God of Mercy and Compassion

2. Are you washed?

3. The Old Rugged Cross

Please remember to pray for my dear, dear country, Nigeria as we elect a new president. We thank God for how far He has brought us, and we pray that His will may prevail!

Also, please look out for my March update. My month was literally dripping with testimonies which I cannot wait to share!
